Celebrity Beyond

Celebrity Beyond is the third ship of Celebrity Cruises' Edge class, and the first to depart significantly from the dimensions of the two vessels that preceded her. Built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire, France, at a cost of around US$900 million, she was delivered in 2022 after her design was stretched to sixteen decks, lengthening the hull and adding capacity and public space compared with lead ship Celebrity Edge and her sister Apex. The additional deck gave designers room to enlarge the ship's signature spaces while retaining the class's core architecture.

Beyond carries an expanded version of the Magic Carpet, the cantilevered orange platform that rides the starboard hull to serve as restaurant, bar, or tender platform, along with the Infinite Veranda staterooms that fold a balcony into the living space. The ship leaned heavily into celebrity-designer collaborations: interior designer Nate Berkus shaped much of the passenger experience, including the popular multi-level Sunset Bar at the stern, while Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud created the fine-dining restaurant Le Voyage. The Grand Plaza, Eden, and the resort-style pool deck round out a layout that pushed the premium-segment formula toward greater scale and polish.

Her godmother is the American gymnast Simone Biles, one of the most decorated athletes in the sport's history, whose selection continued Celebrity's tradition of naming prominent women to christen its ships. Beyond entered service in 2022 to strong commercial reception.

Celebrity Beyond primarily sails round-trip Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and has also operated European seasons. Registered at Valletta, Malta, and carrying the call sign 9HA5296, she operates as the largest of the earlier Edge-class trio and remains in active service with Celebrity Cruises.
